Tae Kwon Do

Tournaments provide controlled competition in forms, breaking and no-contact sparring. Yun's Black Belt Academy sponsors an annual invitational tournament that draws participants and spectators from many of the best martial arts schools in the Midwest.

Student participation at tournaments is optional. Master Yun encourages his students to compete only when he feels that they will benefit form the competition. Many of Master Yun's students regularly compete in Tae Kwon Do tournaments sponsored by other schools in the region.

Tournament competition is organized according to age, rank and size. Small children are separated into special groups to promote and encourage their sense of success.
